Imelda Saad has more than 2 decades of experience in the media industry.
She began her journalism career with Mediacorp Radio and went on to do corporate work with the Labour Movement before re- joining the news room with Singapore Press Holdings as a Digital Correspondent.
In 2008 Imelda was pulled back to Mediacorp as a TV Journalist. She took on reporting and Editorial responsibilities as a Deputy Editor and later an Editor.
Imelda’s focus was on reporting and delivering news for Channel NewsAsia’s (CNA) Singapore Desk.
She covered local and regional politics including elections in both Singapore and Malaysia. She has also reported on regional and international conferences such as the ASEAN Summit, APEC, ASEM and G20 Summits.
Imelda is currently an Executive Producer with CNA’s English Current Affairs, leading the team which produces Mediacorp Ch5’s flagship, award winning, weekly current affairs programme, Talking Point. Under her stewardship Talking Point is now among the top most watched programme on mass market commercial Channel 5, garnering a loyal following of viewers. The programme tackles topics that resonate with not just local but a global audience.
